I am a writer of whimsical poetry for (but not limited to) children.
I was a second grade art teacher and a wildlife handler of raptors & reptiles.
"If you can handle a classroom of second-graders with art supplies,
you can handle a twitchy screech owl or a squirmy rat snake...easy!"
I am always on time...usually early...annoyingly early.
I'm a bit of a minimalist...(can you tell?)
My teaching career spanned 32 years.
I have been married to the same patient man for over 30 years.
I have a pug, (so I too have patience.)
All of this, combined, gives me writing reference until well into my nineties.
And, most importantly, I owe all that I am to dark chocolate...consumed often...with relish.
(Not the pickle kind.)
